over the last year I increased my workout to 1-2hr cardio 6days a week and 1-1.4 hr weights 4times a week. I watched what I ate but stayed drinking wine most days( 1-3 glasses a day). I had about 9oz of protein a day, 6cup veg, 3 cup fruit, 3 portions of grians 15gram each, 2 cup milk/yogurt. I finally lost 13 pounds but it took until June. I started pulling muscles around april first my lower back, then my left shoulder and left elbow. Finally one day my left knee felt a little pain, like I banged into a table no big deal I took a step class the following two days and that was it the knee swelled up and I had to stop all activity on it for 4 weeks. I slowley started walking, and now I am up to a slow run, bikeing 2X a week for 15miles in one hrs. yoga ,pilates five days a week cardo 30-45 min. I have put 7pounds my diet has stayed the same but the wine has decrease to one glass nightly but a few more on the week ends. I am 47 years old and now weight 132 pounds and have always worked out but to tell you the truth I tired of work so hard to loss weight and getting hurt. I am looking for a workout & weight loss program I can do that I can maintain without so much time in the gym and hurting myself. got any idears?

I have only been exercising for a few months now, so I am far from an authority on exercise routines, but I would say that you are working too hard, and for too long.

What are your goals?
